Honibe® hosts 2nd annual FREE flower giveaway in Charlottetown, PEI on Saturday June 25th, 2022!

Pollinator Week is an annual event celebrated internationally in support of pollinator health. It’s a time to celebrate pollinators and spread the word about what we can do to protect them. This year, Pollinator Week is June 20-26. Protecting pollinators and their ecosystems is crucial, as 1/3 of the food we eat relies on animal pollination. Without pollinators we wouldn’t have blueberries, coffee, chocolate, or…. honey! Honey is the #1 ingredient in all Honibe’s products, which is why we are so passionate about pollinator protection and spreading awareness to the community.

Last year, in support of Pollinator Week, Honibe gave away 500 flowers to the first 250 cars, and due to its great success, this year we have doubled the number of flowers to give away! Honibe is giving away 2 free pollinator friendly flowers to the first 500 cars to come through their drive-thru flower giveaway on Saturday, June 25, starting at 8:00 am, while supplies last! Along with free flowers, attendees will also receive some free Honibe product samples and more.

Scott Spencer, President and COO of Honibe sees the value that this event brings to the community. “As a company who believes in the power of honey, Honibe also believes in the protection of pollinators” says Spencer. “We believe that by giving away a total of 1000 flowers to community members on Prince Edward Island, pollinators will feel more invited to your gardens. International Pollinator Week is the perfect time to celebrate pollinators and we hope this annual event will grow bigger each year, ultimately helping to spread pollinator awareness and do our part to support the bees.”

Mark the date in your calendars and visit Honibe (20 Innovation Way, Charlottetown) to get some delicious honey treats and do your part to help support Pollinators.

I love this. I live in Charlottetown and I plant flowers for the birds, bees and butterflies. I had lots of bees this spring. The bumblebees and honey bees. I’m in proximity of a hive probably from Vankampens, or the Farm Centre.
I can’t wait to get some flowers.
