 Job Title:  PRODUCTION SHIFT MANAGER

(12-hour shift 7:00am to 7:00pm – rotating schedule)

General Summary

Positions available: Two

Job Description: This position will report directly to General Manager and will be looked upon as a leadership role within the company to assist in the following responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop plant employees to assure the necessary capabilities and culture to maintain an effective This includes establishing direction, gaining commitment, delegating, and building organizational capabilities for all production activities
  • Working with Senior Management – enforce production Schedule and Coordinate the production activities of the facility with staff
  • Create a work environment that ensures the safety and health of employees, community, and environment – manages staff attendance and shift scheduling – enforcing CGMPS and SOPS
  • Ensure production rooms are running at maximum efficiencies
  • Develop and coach production and packaging staff to achieve business goals to ensure customer deadlines and needs are met.
  • Work in close cooperation with senior group management to establish and manage activities to ensure they meet short and long term plant goals
  • Continually work to Improve efficiencies
  • Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance company SOP’s and GMP’s
  • Investigate and report all incidents (waste, overages, accidents, poor performance)
  • 1-2 years previous management experience an asset

Requirements: 

  • Experience working in a continuous operations environment
  • Direct experience with production, engineering, warehouse, maintenance and quality functions in a plant environment
  • Proven collaborative and participative management skills are essential including experience in building strong teams
  • Excellent leadership skills -1-2 years previous management experience an asset
  • Experience and success with process improvements including utilizing continuous process discipline such as Six Sigma, Lean or equivalent
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing employee safety and environmental compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and set direction

Job Title: WAREHOUSE TECHNICIAN

Positions Available – One

 Job Description: Warehouse Technician responsibilities include various forms of receiving incoming goods, storing materials, and inventory management

 Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Follow CGMPS, SOPS, and CODES OF CONDUCT as outlined in the employee handbook
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (maintain documentation, pick, unload, label, store, enter to inventory system)
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
  • Organize warehouse mapping
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Complete diary logs into inventory
  • Report any discrepancies or upcoming shortages
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
  • Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations including sign in and sign out of raw materials
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
  • Assist with the preparation and completion of orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Special projects as assigned

Requirements: 

  • Minimum Grade 12 Diploma and 1-2 years directly related experience
  • Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
